Located in both Magnolia and Edmonds, Seattle Swim Academy teaches critical swim skills to children of all ages.
Welcome to Seattle Swim Academy. SSA excels in water safety and proper swimming technique, pairing fun with critical swim skills that will save a child's life in an emergency situation. We provide an enjoyable and safe environment for children between the ages of 2.5 and 12 in the friendly neighborhoods of Magnolia and Edmonds.
Learning to swim is much more than a life saving skill. It can provide enjoyment and exercise for a lifetime. Investing time and resources to become proficient in swimming pays off for decades to come. Our swim teachers have extensive training and will help your child advance at their own optimum pace.
With a passion for swimming, owner Sam Sandquist has over 10 years of lifeguard and swim instruction experience. His love for teaching children stretches beyond the pool to the field where he has coached numerous soccer teams and sport camps. Growing up in California, Sam swam year round and after moving to the northwest 8 years ago, he didn't want that to change. When he can, Sam gets down to the Oregon coast to surf and hopes to offer weekend surf lessons in the future to anyone wanting to dip their feet in the cold pacific waters.
